Quantrix Releases New Version of Business and Financial Modeling Software to Enhance Value of Enterprise DataQuantrix Modeler 3.7 enables organizations to integrate seamlessly with enterprise databases to enhance analytics, collaboration, evaluation, and reportingPORTLAND, ME – April 1, 2010 – Quantrix announces it has released version 3.7 of its business modeling and analytics (BMA) software solution, Quantrix Modeler. The new version improves the ability to extract data from enterprise databases for modeling and calculation, and to then push data back into enterprise databases for sharing and reporting. Quantrix Modeler and integration add-ons, DataPush and DataNAV, enable financial and business planners to understand the impact of decisions by creating multiple “what if” scenarios, speed the budgeting process via distributed planning, and reduce the errors associated with traditional spreadsheet-based models. The new version, Quantrix 3.7, can use any relational database management system to improve integration with enterprise databases, including SQL Server and Oracle, and enables users to conduct multiple data pushes within a model. It also adds a number of improvements, including a model browser filter that enables users to find the right business model components, a view-synchronization feature, and multiple formatting improvements that ease day-to-day use of the software. Power Market Consulting, Inc. uses the DataNAV module of Quantrix Modeler to provide a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) offering that enables electricity traders to perform analytics on market transaction data from the California Independent System Operator (CAISO). Called OASISLive, the offering enables the market participants to leverage very large volume of electricity market data to gain valuable insights without the high cost of business intelligence infrastructure. “OASISLive uses Quantrix Modeler because it provides a powerful modeling environment in which market participants themselves can build live queries and gain valuable, real-time market insight, and develop strategic responses” says Henry Shin, President, Power Market Consulting, Inc. “Our clients don’t need to download raw data and have their IT teams build custom reports – the Quantrix interface using DataNAV enables users to navigate through complex set of data without having the database expertise. DataNAV brings much-needed data integrity to the enterprise data management, because DataNAV is fast and easy to use, our clients can build their custom reports from the same enterprise-wide data.” AECOM, a global provider of professional technical and management support services to a broad range of markets in more than 100 countries, uses Quantrix software to deliver long-term forecasting solutions and economic assessments for civil projects, including waste management, power, and energy projects. “We create very large models for our customers, and this new version of Quantrix Modeler speeds up our data processing capabilities, and enables us to manipulate large volumes of data quicker,” says JME Maxwell, Senior Economist, AECOM. “The new model browser filter enables us to find the right tables, views and charts faster, and the synchronization features enable us to combine multiple views and increase the flexibility of our presentation canvas.” “Getting value from enterprise data is an imperative in today’s economy, but so much of corporate data is locked in databases that are difficult to access without intensive IT programming,” says Chris Houle, CEO, Quantrix. “These new enhancements to Quantrix Modeler make it easier for financial and business professionals to access data, perform calculations, develop the accurate forecasts and analyses, and integrate those plans back into corporate data warehouses and reporting solutions.” Quantrix Modeler’s multidimensional business modeling and analytics software enables financial professionals to break away from the restrictions of spreadsheet technology to quickly develop financial models of the highest integrity, flexibility, and transparency. |
